Welcome, SHS Alumni!

Your 30th Reunion Planning Committee has created this blog to share information about our upcoming 30th Reunion with you, and also to elicit feedback from you on several details as we work on them.

Here's how to use this blog:

Updates and 'breaking news' will appear in this column in post form. New information will appear at the top of the page. By scrolling down the page, you can view all past posts. Each post will get a subject label, so if you are searching for info on a specific subject, like 'Golf', check the listing down on the bottom of the sidebar to find all posts on that subject.

Over in the right sidebar, you'll find these resources:

A link to the Reunion committee email. If you have specific questions, ideas, or needs in regard to the Reunion events, please let us know.

We have inserted polls that ask you about your preferences and needs in regard to specific activities. Right now, you'll find a poll asking you about the Sunday picnic, and also about your hotel room needs. Your answers help us finalize details and cover our bases, so thank you in advance for helping us out with your votes!

There are links that lead to other sites, where you can purchase merchandise with 'SHS', 'Rebel', and 'Class of 1980' logos on them. The Cafe Press site is one that benefits our reunion - when you purchase items there, the Reunion fund makes money. Those funds will offset expenses of putting on the reunion, and that helps keep costs down for everyone. The second link takes you to a site that sells Confederate flag/Rebel flag-themed merchandise. We do not in any way benefit from your purchases of these products - we just thought they were great for displaying our Rebel pride!

You'll also see links to Alumni sites - we've provided these links to independent sites to help you look for your friends & classmates. Please note that some sites are fee- or membership-based. The Reunion committee isn't endorsing these sites, just giving you the links to them. If you are on Facebook, please do join the alumni group there!

You'll also see a box with thumbnail photos and the title 'Followers'. 'Followers' of a blog are like 'Fans' on Facebook. (And if that's a foreign concept to you, let's say they are like your email groups!) If you click on the 'Follow' button, you can Follow this blog, and receive notifications of new posts here.

There will be more information added here, both in posts and sidebar content, as details develop with the Reunion plans. Check in with us regularly to stay informed...
